Itsy Bitsy Spider

Abby was watching Sesame Street and one of her favorite songs came on, Itsy Bitsy Spider.

The song played twice. The first time- before the camera was on- she moved her hands to the song, pretending to be a spider, and the rain falling down, etc. The second time, I had my camera hoping to catch it all over again, but this time she just decided to "dance" to the song, aka spin in a circle. I still thought it was adorable, especially when she clapped at the end.

Snow 2009

Abby loved playing in, and eating, the snow. While this may not have been the first time it has snowed since she was born, this is the first snowfall that she was able to enjoy outside playing, even if only for a short time.
She was laughing at the dogs playing in the snow, and did not want to come back inside. We didn't spend very much time outside, because it was still very cold.

Abby loves to hug and kiss Buddy and Casey, although sometimes they don't really enjoy it!!













She also likes to put her fridge magnets on Casey while she is eating.

HAPPY 2009!!!!!

Practically every year since I was in high school, I have gotten together on Christmas Eve with my friends Dana and Robyn. As boyfriends (who eventually turned into husbands) and children came along, the number of people we shared Christmas Eve with grew. This year, however, some kids (and parents) were sick, so we decided to delay it a week and get together on New Year's Eve.

Abby had fun at her first New Year's Eve party at the Kirby's. She enjoyed opening Christmas presents, eating fondue, and ringing in 2009. This party was special because we rang in the new year at 8pm. Most of the kids could not tell time, so they had no idea that it was not midnight. And for the older girls who could tell time, it was as simple as changing the time on the clock on the microwave- and turning off the tv, so they had no idea that the ball wasn't dropping for another 4 hours.


This was our attempt at getting 7 girls- from ages 9 to 15 months- to pose for a picture. As you can see, it wasn't very successful. The little ones began to wander. I think Abby was heading for more chocolate fondue.

Abby immediately made herself comfy in her new Tinkerbell chair.

She also wanted to try out her new slide.

Merry Christmas

Abby loved opening her presents on Christmas morning. As usual, she woke very early in the morning (around 5:30 a.m.) and was surprised to see all the presents waiting for her around the tree. She immediately wanted to get on the slide and sit in the Tinker Bell chair that Santa brought her.
