Halloween 2009

This year Abby was a Dalmation for Halloween. Even though it started to rain, she enjoyed walking around the neighborhood saying "Trick or treat".

At daycare, the teachers and children make costumes. This year Abby's class wore robot costumes- at least it was supposed to look like a robot. Here she is walking in the daycare parade around the block.

Halloween

Pumpkin Carving

Abby can hardly wait to help Daddy clean out the pumpkin.

The shirt came off very shortly after we started cleaning out the pumpkin. Pumpkin was all over her shirt in no time!

Abby's 2nd Birthday

Abby had a great time at her birthday party. We had a moon bounce in the yard and she did not want to get out of it. Luckily, the rain held off until the party was over. (Unlike it did for her 1st birthday party, when it poured all day.) Abby is in the moon bounce with (l-r) Cheyenne, Emma, Molly and Sydney.

This year it was a lot harder for Abby to stand still to get her 2 year old pictures taken. But there were several good pictures.

Disney 2009

We took our vacation early again this summer. This year we went to Walt Disney World. Abby got to experience her first airplane ride. The 2 hour flight to Orlando turned into a 3 hour experience after being grounded for one hour just before take off at BWI. But Abby did great on her first airplane ride.

Here is Abby looking at the "hair panes" as she calls them. And then enjoying coloring and eating a snack during the flight.

On our first day in Disney World we went to Magic Kingdom and ate breakfast in the castle at Cinderella's Royal Table with all the princesses. Abby got to ride in the elevator with Cinderella- and I think Abby thought she was going to be eating breakfast with us. Abby loved seeing all the princesses, but I think she may have liked eating the scrambled eggs and muffins just a little more.

She loved riding the Dumbo ride, the carousel, the Teacups, and It's a Small World.

But more than anything, she LOVED seeing the characters. She got so excited each time she saw one. She ran up to all of them and gave them a big hug and kisses. She could barely wait her turn in line to greet them. It didn't matter who it was, she loved them all.

It was a great trip, and wonderful to see Abby so excited. We can't wait to go back !!!

Easter 2009

Abby liked the Easter Bunny, at least until she got close enough to sit on his lap. While standing in line, she was waving and laughing at the Bunny, and was saying "sit", as if she wanted to sit on his lap.

When it was our turn, I asked if she wanted to sit with the Bunny and she said "sit". As we moved closer, she changed her mind and said "no". She did not react as badly as she did with Santa, but she still wanted no part in sitting on the Bunny's lap.

Although it looks as if she was traumatized in the photo, a few seconds after she got off his lap, she was waving and laughing again at the bunny.
